Wykop Simple Notifier: Stay Up to Date with Wykop Notifications
Wykop Simple Notifier is a Chrome add-on that allows you to stay informed about notifications on Wykop. With this add-on, you don't need to register anywhere or deal with APIs.
At regular intervals, Wykop Simple Notifier checks the wykop.pl website for new notifications. If there are any, it will notify you with a sound (which can be disabled) and display the number of notifications on its extension icon.
To use the extension, there is no need to register, log in, share your data, or deal with API keys and limits. The extension will simply check the wykop.pl website and display information about your notifications if you are logged in.
Why not use the Wykop API? The Wykop API has query limits, so if there were multiple users, the add-on would stop working. Each user would have to generate their own application in the Wykop settings, provide its keys and authorization token in the extension, and regularly renew the connection. This would be an inconvenient solution that doesn't make much sense for this type of add-on. It is much simpler for the end user to just load the main wykop.pl page and extract notification information from there.
